On February 19th, 2013, Mr. Eyal Adar, CEO and Founder of WCK, participated as a keynote speaker at the Intelligent Security & Risk Management forum at the Intellect UK Technology Association.
The forum focused on different approaches to staying ahead of cyber criminals. Three other keynote speakers participated, including executives from Tempest Security Intelligence, Meta Compliance and Exonar,
The event was opened by Carolyn Williams, the Head of Thought Leadership for the Institute of Risk Management. She discussed the increasing importance that Enterprise Risk Managers place on improving cyber and security risk. She emphasized the need to bridge the “disconnect between CIO’s and CSO’s who talk a technical talk and upper management who understand and discuss risk from the business perspective”.
Mr. Adar expanded on the topic of bridging the gap between upper management and technology executives. He described how IT and security executives can and must talk in terms of business services, processes and priorities. He reviewed the way a business-oriented risk methodology (like EESATM) can bridge the gap between business and technical management, and how WCK technology – GRC software can assist by visually correlating technical findings from audits, reviews, penetration tests and automated scanners to business assets.
WCK develops and markets bSRM, an innovative risk and compliance software for managing IT, cyber security and critical infrastructure protection. The solution helps organizations protect their critical business processes by providing crystal-clear visibility of their risk posture, decision support tools, and a prioritized remediation workflow based on business needs.
